A letter from Thomas Crutchfield in Talladega, Alabama to his son, William Crutchfield about a project he is working on where he is making bricks.
The letter was folded in such a way that the back page acted as the outer envelope. The letter is addressed to William Crutchfield, Jacksonville, Ala. Across the face of the envelope it reads, "Dr. relation to the store of [O or Q} and the soad by the ??? 50 cents to be taken? out of them ???" One panel of the envelope has Mr. Wm Crutchfield, Wm Crutchfield, Crutchfield inscribed on it as if one was practicing his handwriting. The other panel has math problems on it.
