a) Sunday September 18, 1977. Page B-4 is a full article titled "A Duty To The Past, Present, and Future". It was written by Sam Mount, and talks about Paul A. Hiener Sr. in relation to his work on the "Northside Historical and Church News" Newsletter. It has a picture of Mr. Hiener holding a copy of most recent copy of the newsletter that he publishes on a weekly basis. Back of clipping has a partial article about a watchmaker who could not retire. The watchmaker's name is Charles G. Clements, and the article was written by Franklin Exum.
b) Sunday July 16, 1989. Page C12 has a full page article titled " Paul Hiener's Historic Photos May Be Available Soon". The article talks about the pictures and the life of Paul Hiener. There is a picture of Paul Hiener in the article along with some pictures that were on file with the Chattanooga-Hamilton Bicentennial Library. Picture number one in the article shows President Franklin D Roosevelt visiting the Chickamauga Dam on Labor Day, September 2, 1940, and the caption talks a little about the visit. Picture number 2 is of McCallie School and was taken in 1920. The caption under the picture talks a little about the history of the school. Picture number 3 is of Lovell Field, and is dated from around 1955. The caption gives some information on the history of Lovell Field. Picture number 4 is of Seventh and Market Streets, and dates back to the early 1900's. The caption underneath talks about the buildings and stores in the picture.
