A brief, undated letter from Noah Good of Good+ Moon in Pikeville Alabama to William Crutchfield. The letter reads,
"Mr. Wm Crutchfield
We have made arrangements to get what flour we shall need in adebt(?) which we could not git the money, so we thought it was best to take Flour, we are making iron now to do some good and that of the best quality, which we shall see you for Cash at 5 cents. Yours Respectfully,
The letter was folded in such a way that the back page acted as the outer envelope. The letter is addressed to Mr. Wm Crutchfield at Home and when folded up, the abstract reads "Noah Good about Barn(?)" There are also a few mathematical problems inscribed in pencil to the outer margins of the back page.
