Collection Crutchfield letters Collection
Description A letter written from Thomas Crutchfield to his son, William Crutchfield in Jacksonville, AL circa 1840. The letter informs William about a loose mule, and indicates that the letter contains 2 letters from Col. Lumpkin, though we do not posses either of the supposed enclosures. The letter was folded so that one of the margins acts as the envelope and indicates remnants of a wax stamp as a sealer. The outer margins of the back page show inscriptions of addition problems written in pencil that are perhaps original to the letter.
Date 1840 circa
Extent of Description 12.50" x 15.25"
