Digitized letter from Smith M. Logan of 20th Battery Indiana Volunteers, to his brother, Edwin, and sister, dated November 17, 1864, written from Chattanooga. He says he was fortunate to find his company after returning (possibly from on leave back home), as the larger corps is on a long march. But his Battery didn't have enough horses so they stayed in Chattanooga.
