a) Letter on Cherokee National Forest letterhead addressed to Elsworth Brown from District Forest Ranger Bryce Ledford. Dated October 24, 1947. Ranger Ledford is giving Mr. Brown permission to photograph the upcoming wilderness hunt happening November 17, 18 and 19, 1947. He says the hunt will take place on the North Fork of Citico Creek and they will camp at the mouth of Indian Valley Branch. Mr. Brown should bring his own camping equipment.
b) Map for the Tellico Wildlife Management Area in Cherokee National Forest. An area around the North Fork of Citico Creek labelled "Wilderness Area Hunt" is circled in red pencil.
c) Newspaper clipping of a one-column story dated November 18, 1947, entitled "Hall Wilbanks Kills Deer in Hunt at Tellico Plains. It says 15 deer and two bears were taken on the first day of the hunt in Cherokee National Forest. On back is a partial masthead: Chattanooga New(cut off).
