Digitized letter from George Young to Lottie dated May 18, 1864 from Chattanooga. He says he is now detailed from the Battery as a "mounted orderly" to general courts martial. As such he is relieved of household duties, and gets to sleep inside at night in the room that serves as the courtroom during the day. He describes it as a parlor in a 2-story brick house surrounded by large oak trees. Page 2 and 3 mention more wounded being sent to the hospital, car loads arriving daily.
