Digitized letter from George L. Young to Lottie dated August 15, 1864, from Rooms(?) General Court Martial, Chattanooga. He recounts a dream he had about her in which he was back home visiting at her home with Lottie, her father "Deacon Lasher" and a servant named Cassie. He says he rode his horse about ten miles into the country and foraged fruit and vegetables, as he is commissary of the mess hall. He says his battery's commanding officer Nitschelen(?), a German, died that morning of dysentery.
