Digitized letter is from a Union soldier stationed in Chattanooga, Tennessee, January 30, 1865, writing to friends (Mr. and Mrs. Leedz) of his in Indiana. He speaks of a warm couple of days but it has been a cold winter with lots of rain and without snow. He is sad that he will not get to sleigh ride this winter. His health is well and he expects to be home by this time next year.
