Digitized letter/statement from Captain M.C. Lawrence of the 121st Ohio Volunteer Infantry recording the loss of multiple weapons and accoutrements. Lawrence states that some of his men were wounded in battle at Chickamauga and taken to the hospital in Chattanooga, where their weapons were subsequently taken by authorized officials to arm men who would be on the front lines. Corporal James G. Irwin (somewhat illegible) has signed the letter and made it an official voucher stating that the weapons were rightfully taken in Chattanooga from the wounded soldiers.
