This newsletter was intended to inform citizens about the public forums. The first article, "Come to the Vision 2000 Public Forums", discusses what the forums were and encourages people to attend. It says that, "They are intended to demonstrate a way of coming to collective agreement, to determine where we are and where we want to be in the year 2000." The next article, "Riverfront is city's best asset, says Rouse", says that urban planner and developer James Rouse spoke to a group of 800 people about how the riverfront area was a great way to bring all of downtown together and he felt that it was great to see the determination to get this done. "The first forum: Future Alternatives" discusses how there was to be focus on different areas of city development and what was to be done in each session: People, Places, Work, and Play. "Places team stresses community environment" "Leisure activities enhance quality of life" "Create better ' work' environment" "Meet 'people' needs, participants urge" "Citizen involvement, cooperation stressed" "What's next for Venture".
