Digitized letter from George L. Young to Lottie (see 2015.001.044) dated June 7, 1864 from Chattanooga. He tells her he really appreciates letters from home, and is thankful for all his friends. He says he talked to someone a week before who was wounded 14 miles outside Atlanta, and he hopes Atlanta falls soon and that the war will end. He kids Lottie about being a "school ma'am" and wishes he could be in her class, if only she'd punish him by making him sit with the "big girls."
