Page 2: A column by Don Moore, County Judge, indicating that the increase in property taxes benefits all of Hamilton Countians. The Hamilton County government provides the bulk (62%) of local funding for all public primary and secondary education in Hamilton County, the Chattanooga as well as the county school system. The remainder of the budget goes to support agencies and programs that benefit the whole County, such as the Juvenile Court, the Bonny Oaks School, the Health Department, Erlanger Hospital, the Humane Society, the Public Library, the Allied Arts fund, and the Scenic City Beautiful Commission.
The remainder of page 2 and page 3 lists "Where Your Tax Money Goes" in the following categories: Education, Children's Welfare, Health Agencies, Social Services, Planning and Regulation, The Arts and Recreation, Conservation; and Roads and Construction. A pie chart is included.
Page 4 indicates where the budget dollar comes from: Constitutional Offices and General Government (pie chart also included).
