Digitized photograph of the massive, rambling, 4-story Romanesque building, the Lookout Inn, with arched entries, turrets, peaked gables, and porches. The land slopes down and away from Lookout Inn towards a stand of bare trees and tracks for the incline railroad. Lookout Inn opened on June 2, 1890 and burned down on November 17, 1908. There is writing at the bottom of the matboard that says "Lookout Inn" but this has been damaged by some liquid and is hard to read. Stamped on the back: S. S. Eaton & Co., Point Lookout Gallery, Lookout Mountain, Tenn.
