e) Negative of the Plaza Hotel after the turn of the twentieth century. The building was known as the Southern Express Company Building from its construction in 1893 until it became the Plaza Hotel. It is unclear in the photograph as to whether or not the picture was taken when it was the Plaza Hotel. Mitchell's Fine Tailoring Shop and Durable Woolen Mills store(s) are on the first floor. The transparency was found it an envelope labeled "Hotel" with "#17" in the upper left corner.
