Description Black and white photograph of a crowd gathered in front of Woolworth's department store during the Chattanooga sit-ins of February 1960.

In this photograph, the fourth day of the protests, whites surrounded an young African American man. Four men, all wearing hats, were closest to him and one pointed, possibly to direct him away from of the store. He had a distraught look on his face. A younger crowd surrounded the men, and this crowd included young men, boys, and even a few girls.

The name "Wilson" is written on the back referring to the photographer, likely Delmont Wilson of the Chattanooga News-Free Press.
