Print from glassplate negative. View of the Tennessee River taken from an unidentified, elevated point that shows a long jetty that runs along the riverbank and extends into the water. There is a dwelling at the lower left hand side and other small buildings along the jetty. Railroad tracks run along the top of the jetty. There is a dock that connect the jetty with the riverbank. There is a gap in the jetty, possibly resulting in damage to the railroad tracks, and a barge near the gap. The land is heavily wooded. There is damage along the upper right hand edge of the image which replicates damage to the glassplate negative.
