Description Digitized photograph, view of Cameron Hill taken from the North Shore showing a flooded Tennessee River and the businesses along the river bank that were flooded during the April 2, 1936 flood. There are several steamboats on the water, including the tugboat "Captain Lyerly."
Attached to the back is typewritten copy for a newspaper article about the flood, its height and damage, and the positive influence of Norris Dam on holding back the floodwaters. Credit given to Murray Wyche, Chattanooga News, 4/2/36.
