Collection of negatives related to hotels in the Chattanooga area.
c) Negative of the historic Read House, built in 1871 by John T. Read, a doctor in Chattanooga. The Read house was built on the site of the Crutchfield house which burned in 1867 and became a prominent hotel in Chattanooga. The advertisements and automobiles indicate that the photograph was taken in 1914. This was found in an envelope with "d" labeled "#40."
