Reverse side, handwriting: "Donna Lee Barge Fire, June 25, 1955." Stamped: Bob Sherrill, 4800 Madonna Ave, Chattanooga, TN, 37412. Photo shows a barge on fire, perhaps in the Tennessee River, being dealt with by firemen in 1955. This is a fairly well documented fire. The fire was from an explosion which came from either fumes getting into a kitchen while cooking was in progress or from a spark in the engine room. "Fire aboard the motor vessel Donna Lee and tow of tank barges MBL 601 and Texaco 556 at approximately 12:00 noon (C.S.T.) on 25 June 1955, while said barges were in process of being unloaded at Texaco River Terminal, Chattanooga, Tennessee and which resulted in loss of seven lives of members of the crew and serious or critical injuries to three other members of the crew on board the motor vessel Donna Lee."
