Digital scan of black and white photo from loaned photo album. The photo depicts a large stately home. A sign on the front gate reads "C.A. Brelsford," who was listed as the manager of the Central Passenger Station Restaurant in 1909 (C.A. Brelsford is perhaps Charles A. Brelsford). The house was probably built by the L.C. Smallwood Contracting Company. This house was located at the corner of Walsh, Brelsford, and Whitehall Roads, atop Stringer's Ridge (now known as Whitehall Pointe) west of Highway 27. The house burned between 1969 and 1973. Residents recalled much of the neighborhood being out in the street watching the fire.
