y) Postcard, the Plaza Hotel after the turn of the twentieth century, intersection of Georgia Avenue and Market Street. The building was known as the Southern Express Company Building from it's construction in 1893 until it became the Plaza Hotel. It is unclear in the photograph as to whether or not the picture was taken when it was the Plaza Hotel. Currently  this is where Pickle Barrel and other businesses are located. This postcard was postally unused.
