Photograph of three men and one woman standing around a piano playing music. The seated gentleman plays piano while another man plays the clarinet. Woman identified as Rosemary Lane, man standing on far right is Gil Lamb, and at piano is Harry Asket. These musicians and stars were in Chattanooga to perform for the Fifth Liberty Bond Drive at Memorial Auditorium. This information taken from a newspaper article dated June 30, 1944.
Photographs in this collection were found in the basement of a house that had been owned by Bob Sherrill. He was a local photographer that worked for the Chattanooga News-Free Press and was official photographer for the fire and police departments. A number of the images are his, but he also collected old photographs.
