|Collection||Paul A. Hiener Collection|
Collection of negatives related to Loveman's Department Stores, several reproductions.
i) Reproduction negative of the rebuilt Loveman's Building located at the 8th and Market Streets. The old building had burned down but was rebuilt in 1893. The photograph was taken from the West 8th Street side of the juncture. The building itself was located on 800 Market Street. The image was taken in 1893, and there was a small dome on the top of the building that is not present on the image from 1899.
j) Another reproduction negative of the Loveman's building, taken in 1899. Despite the fact that it was taken from the same general angle, the giant adornment noted in the previous image was missing.
k) Negative of Loveman's with banners and decoration welcoming FLT or The Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
l) Negative of Loveman's circa 1955, the 3629 Ringgold Road location. Image taken by Paul Hiener.
