Cabinet card of man. Writing on back indicates this is Henry Iler about 1880. He was the fireman killed in the Bee Hive fire. The fountain to the firemen on Georgia Avenue is dedicated to his memory. Blake photography.
Photographs in this collection were found in the basement of a house that had been owned by Bob Sherrill. He was a local photographer that worked for the Chattanooga News-Free Press and was official photographer for the fire and police departments. A number of the images are his, but he also collected old photographs.
