Andy Wootten was employed as an artist at the Tivoli Theatre during the 1930s. He painted images of movie stars and scenes for upcoming attractions that were displayed in and around the Tivoli. The painting was of Gary Cooper. The display is advertising "Souls at Sea" with Gary Cooper and others, there were promotional photographs along with the painting. According to imdb.com the movie premiered in 1937. On the back of (a) is written: "Painting & hand lettering by Andrew Hill Wootten - Changed weekly - 1930s - oil on velour." Possibly signed Andy Wootten.
