Digitized photograph of six Union soldiers sitting and lying on a rock outcropping, Point Lookout. Two men are at the very edge of the outcropping, looking out into space. A third is standing with his right arm raised to shoulder level and his index finger pointing off to the distance. Another man is reclining with his hands in his pockets. There is a bugle hanging off his left hip. Two other men are reclining against the rock surface and are looking out into space.
Stamped on back: Rankin & Co.'s Cartes de Visite Rooms, Cincinnati.
Upon inspection of the original photograph, the image appears to be a period reproduction of an original photograph or negative given the crooked nature of the image and the dark lines at the top and bottom.
