Group of four photos of the same building in the 800 block of Cherry Street in downtown Chattanooga at different times. The developer of the photos is embossed on the lower right corner, "HINKLE'S STUDIO, CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE."
(a), (b), and (c) were taken apparently sometime in the early to mid 1940s, while (d) appears to show the mid to late 1930s. (a) was probably taken in December, due to the Christmas decorations hanging outside the building. Identifiable businesses include Pickett's (815-819 Cherry), Wilensky Leather Co. (823 Cherry), Curle Radio Supply (825 Cherry), and Fine's Smoke Shop (829 Cherry). c) S.H. Kress would have been to the far left, on the other side of the alley. Their trucks used the alley to deliver their merchandise.
(a-c) 8.25" x 10.00"
(d) 8.00" x 9.75"
